BWAHAHAHAAA... that's the surfer son of an undertakers woodie van lol
Hey Fazda - just read your blogs - need more time to read them all, sounds fascinating! You taught / are teaching English in Saudi? I have heard so many bad things about working there it's not funny. So you are back in SA...
I work abroad and can honestly say I wouldn't set foot in that place if I could avoid it.

Back in SA! :D

Yes, Saudi was definitely something else!! Not for the faint of heart I'm afraid!!:o

Happy reading!! :D

Thanks - will do!

I met a guy on the plane on a recent trip from Kenya who had flown Qatar from Saudi to JHB and then back to Eastern Cape with me. He was there for 5 days and called it quits. A rather portly man who no doubt had a really hard time with the weather. They dropped him in the middle of nowhere at the 'office' which wasn't what he had been led to believe it was... without water in 50 C heat.

I've experienced the heat in Delhi - around 38 at midnight and 48 in the day - but it's at least dry heat... Mumbai is horrible in summer, makes Mombasa/Dar seem like a breeze... I believe both those places are nothing compared with many Arab gulf states.

He said thanks, but no thanks - I think he lost around 5kg in those 5 days. Ex Eskom engineer. They wanted him to refer other SA folk to them but he told me he wouldn't let his worst enemy get involved.

Something about Saudi makes you lose weight...I lost 15 kg in 3 weeks...beats the hell out of any diet I have been on!

Actually the heat wasn't unbearable because it is dry heat in Riyadh...still hovers around mid 40's most days, but more bearable than the humid heat of Dubai.

Now I don't know whom to give the next posting, mbp for the Aston_Martin_Vantage

or

kilobitsperyear for ... her name is Anique

As we are busy in a motoring thread I have to give it to mbp to post us the next one. ;)

Wow! 15kg in 3 weeks is crazy... That's borderline dangerous!
What was the outcome of the clinic visit - haven't been able to finish reading yet - that must have been scary - not being able to speak properly like that.
Promise thats the last time I 'derail' the thread guys ;) I'll read more as soon as I'm done with my work deadline

I cannot remember when I stopped writing!!:o

Is that a Lovely Lola I see?

I met her in a club down in old soho
Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like cherry-cola [lp version:
Coca-cola]
C-o-l-a cola
She walked up to me and she asked me to dance
I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said lola
L-o-l-a lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola

Well Im not the worlds most physical guy
But when she squeezed me tight she nearly broke my spine
Oh my lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola
Well Im not dumb but I cant understand
Why she walked like a woman and talked like a man
Oh my lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola

Well we drank champagne and danced all night
Under electric candlelight
She picked me up and sat me on her knee
And said dear boy wont you come home with me
Well Im not the worlds most passionate guy
But when I looked in her eyes well I almost fell for my lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola
Lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola

I pushed her away
I walked to the door
I fell to the floor
I got down on my knees
Then I looked at her and she at me

Well thats the way that I want it to stay
And I always want it to be that way for my lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo lola
Girls will be boys and boys will be girls
Its a mixed up muddled up shook up world except for lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo lola

Well I left home just a week before
And Id never ever kissed a woman before
But lola smiled and took me by the hand
And said dear boy Im gonna make you a man

Well Im not the worlds most masculine man
But I know what I am and Im glad Im a man
And so is lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola
Lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola
