Guess that car

Or would you rather have a lecture on the history of the DeLorian and why John DeLorian couldn't sell the thing...?

Interestingly, the original script had Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) traveling through time in a refrigerator! That is until Steven Spielberg (the executive producer) pointed out that children may imitate the movie and lock themselves in a refrigerator to go back in time.

So what happened to the car company, DeLorean? Of the £20 million invested by the UK government, £17.5 million went to a Panamanian company, theoretically to pay Lotus and other creditors. An investigation was launched by the UK government and owner/founder John DeLorean was eventually arrested on drug trafficking charges, but the case was dismissed on a technicality. Chaos subsequently enveloped the company and it was eventually closed.

Kb/y gets it on the first one a 1960 Fairlane 500 club Sedan!
:D

We had one which was two tone blue at the bottom and had a white roof. My Dad sold it on the 5th June 1961, to pay for my sister's wedding that had taken place on the 3rd June...traded it in for a brand new red Mini 850, and paid cash for the Mini with what was left over!!

Edit: Changd the car! Sorry... but its in keeping with the theme of Fazda's last one...

Ag noooooooooo man...BTW I know the guy who took this photo, and it is one of the most viewed photos on Flickr for some inexplicable reason. All we could work out is that it has some direct to Google when you type in VV :D

EDIT: OK, I have just checked, it does seem to have a direct link to Google God...probably the funniest/silliest/craziest thing about this pic is that the car has been heavily modified and is not a decent example of one of these little beasties at all........
