Open a new tab and go to Google, drag the image to that tab, then drag it into the search box. If it doesn't find anything then click the link to search by image. That's how people have been cheating :(

Easy way around this is to cut out part of the car and flip the image.

EDIT: Where in google do I find the option to search for an image by url ?? Opera reveals nothing on google image page...

it actually finds this one, you just drag and drop into the image search bar

These kind of threads usually run on an honour system, cheating just defeats the whole object and the thread dies.

It sucks that people have been cheating :( You are right, the only way to avoid it would be to flip the image before uploading it to whichever image site, that way google image search won't find it...

Well I never. Opera browser does not let me drag the image to a google tab, it just opens the image in a new tab... and if I copy and paste the image url it returns nothing... what am I doing wrong besides using Opera ?

well i use FF, but if you drag and hover over the google tab it should switch to it.

Seeing as I started this thread off, I guess I'd better have my 2c worth.

As far as possible, I try not to use Google, as my knowledge of cars is pretty extensive, and I've built up my own little library over the years.

Quite frankly if people want to cheat, it's just plain sad - actually rather childish.

If you cannot guess the car without doing an honest search or picking up stompies of hints, then you really shouldn't be here at all.

Now can we all act like adults and enjoy the game please.

Ok enough cheating hints now, let's get on with doctoring the pics and playing the game :D

I convert my pics to B&W, add noise and then flip them.

I have to use google & I still suck :D
But I use the normal google search as I have always done which is hard work. I have the google image search plugin for my browser but don't use it for this game, I don't see what satisfaction people get out of 'cheating'.

I use Google image search and tineye... it's fun but it seems very frowned upon so will not take part in guessing then, just giving hints here and there...

Okay... this what that link shows me...

It must be an Opera thing then.

I know of TinEye, but never knew gurgle did it.
Somehow I find the google old fashioned hunt fun... where you narrow down your suspicions until viola! Also, my folder of a zillion cars would help, IF they are saved with a name.
My my my... let the game commence again!

EDIT: So this is what Pooky was referring to, AND it explains all the dark, flipped cars !
