Works his way out of the woodwork.

Well, I don't necessarily have much to add to the forum myself in terms of news or updates or even help. But if it makes a difference in making a stand against the Telkom then I don't see any harm in joining. This site and forum does a great job and hopefully one day Telkom will be confronted with eventual demise or the prospect of conducting business fairly and sanely. I hate monopolies, but more so ones that milk there position for everything it's worth. I hope that you are right and that every small registration counts, but I fear that there will have to be major overhaul in legal and governmental thinking before anything real happens.

But at least this place makes a stand, and makes a difference where something different is sorely needed. Thanks, and keep up the good work! ;)

Works his way out of the woodwork.

Well glad that whittled one of you out! Welcome out The Traveller - I'm sure myadsl would welcome your posts - however mundane!

Now - where's the rest?! :D

WELL

just to update you all......seems channel is going real strong atm.. with the admin support and the community section on myadsl hosting the logo for the channel. :)

Well as i have been stating. WELCOME ALL.

as most of you know i run the channel on the shadowfire network
and we have signed up 267 members from the channel whereby only about 30% of them were members already :)

Spreading the word as usual :)

Hmmm. Wonder how many are really active? Thus, questions to mods: can you produce stats of how many members posted in a certain month? Must be possible, but don't know whether you have time for it! :)

 Ivy your aunty?

Anywayz, what is the database vb is running on? Could always try to write a query to find this info faster! Need help? Just ask... :D

I would be surprised if it is not MySQL :).
Must be easier than having to write a query... Looking at BaanBoard, running vb 3.5.3, their stats at the bottom of the main page includes the following sections:
  • Currently Active Users
  • Total members that have posted on the forum in the last 24 hours
  • Total members that have visited the forum in the last 24 hours

Have a look here...

Agreed that it's an overkill, and it'll prolly eat up too much bandwidth anyway! :D

But the Active Member part? Maybe a setting in vb that needs to be switched?
