This is so sad. My friend got into the beta and has been downloading the game client since Tuesday morning 24/7.

His client download got stuck on 99% and crashed. Now it tells him a serious error has occurred and he needs to redownload it.

Is there anyone in Cape Town that either has a linespeed that can download a 11GB client in 24 hours, or that has it downloaded already that he can come pick it up from? He is offering R100.00
 
I think some maybe parenoid that there is a way of Anet tracking their details if they shared their client... Especially if they had already logged in. On a 4mbit line you could download that in an evening easily. On a 1mbit It would take just over 24 hours. So I am guessing this is a 384k line? That is painful.
 
Eh I suppose so, don't really see why though because it's not like the person would be giving their game client to someone who isn't under the NDA - hence breaking no rules.

Don't worry though, we spent about 3 hours last night with tech support until past midnight, and managed to repair the files this morning so all is good :)

Good to hear you got sorted Sinshroud :) I must say, it's very encouraging to hear that there's South African players chosen for the beta. I'm dying to know how the game performs in our higher latency environment. Anyhow, hope your friend has a lot of fun. I'm so insanely jealous! lol :D

When I finally get on this game I'm hunting your friend my my juju stick!

Anyone in Brits planning on downloading the BETA client for the pre-purchase BETA weekends? Or already have the BETA client? :)
