Hey people

So I am thinking of starting GW. Going to buy the boxset with all the expansions

What I have heard is that every time u enter a new area it downloads the area?

If this is the case, is there anywhere I can download these maps and just add them to the directory where they belong in the GW folder? Local would be nice :)

You should get most of the content with the boxset, any updates to that should be minor. You could try getting an up to date data file from someone, but that did not work for me.

That said, if you want to make sure you don't have to wait to download information when loading an area that has updates, you can fully update GW by running the game executable with the -image switch.

The best way I've found is get a friends gw.dat file (preferably someone whos been to all the locations) and replace the 1 in your gw directory

If I had local cap, I'd upload my .dat file :(

I stay in Brackenfell, I could give you a copy of the complete gw.dat file on dvd?
