Almost 4 years later Guild Wars still seems to be flying off of the shelves. Here are the quarterly sales figures, which were originally posted here:

QTR / Accounts
Sep 2006 / 2,447,000
Dec 2006 / 3,122,000
Mar 2007 / 3,555,000
Jun 2007 / 3,917,000
Sep 2007 / 4,500,000
Dec 2007 / 4,878,000
Mar 2008 / 5,159,000
Jun 2008 / 5,377,000
Sep 2008 / 5,589,000
Dec 2008 / 5,803,000

lol ... might explain why the lag has become progressively worse :D

But 5,8 mil isn't a figure to sneeze at, that's for sure. I might have convinced one of my mates to dump WoW and come back to the fold.

They should hit 6 million by the end of next month if the current growth trend continues.

Yeah please make it clear to all that its a total not how many was sold in that Qtr. :p:D

lol, well selling 210 000 copies in the last qrt of a game thats close to its end is still not a bad record ;)

Wow, they are doing amazingly well.
I wonder how many are double / triple acounts, etc. Some people even have 8+ accounts...
And Farmers and gold bots, etc.

Well ... sadly it looks like the release date for GW2 has been pushed back quite a bit. The Wiki now says TBA 2010/11 :(

Gives me time to do title-hunting (especially my survivor), but still ...

Ye, was posted about it 2 days ago in the main Gaming forum and on the mygaming site too.
