Hi there

Since they introduced the new security to enter your logon, password and then now your character name I cant get into my account.

I have reset my password I have tried all my characters but nothing still cant get in.

I have send NCsoft and email and a web ticket to see if they can get it unlocked.

I assume you cant just start a new account as your old one that is connected to the cd key is still valid and they will see it as a hack or piracy.

Is anybody experiencing the same problems and if you did how long did it take to resolve it from NCsoft?

Thanks

Nope, I typed in my dude's name and now each time I get to the login page it remembers the name so I just type in my password again. No mess no fuss.

If you suspect that you has been hacked, then you must have original cards with code that you entered for campaigns to prove that you are original owner of the game.

That is what I heard from others.

Security Note: This "remember" the character name kills me. It makes whole new security thing useless.

Acid0 - No such problems for me... you must just use the correct account name and password and then one of your Character names - ALL of these must be correct, no typos, otherwise you won't be able to login.

You can log a ticket to ANet and supply them with your account username details and then a char name (of more than one) and then they will help you. They may also ask you for your CD key to validate that it is your account.

The "Remember" option should be there and does not make it useless, it is not an additional security risk. It is in fact a best practice option. This effectively stops hackers from accessing and logging into your account remotely, especially if they do not have your char names.

Also, this way you don't have to type password / char name out every time and key-loggers won't pick it up either... the only way it is a risk is if someone gets access to your game client to see what the history is that you typed in last, but then you have worse problems to worry about if it gets to this point anyway.

Also, if you give people your char names, well, then you also have bigger problems to worry about and it has nothing to do with the Remember option.

There are lots of people that create auto-login scripts to login automatically into the game without having to type anything. Of course, you must make sure your PC is secure, because if someone can access it and get access to the script, then they get all your details.
