Guitar Hero 3 on PC and Xbox? What controller?

I picked up the PC version of guitar hero 3 in cash converters the other day and was like what the hell. Let's just try it. But this game sucks with keyboard and mouse.. Damn hard to play.

My question was I wanna get one of the other Guitar hero games for
Xbox 360, I want to get the game with the guitar. Will I be able to use it with PC as well, or ar there any specific guitar that will work with PC & Xbox 360.

So I can finish the PC version and still use the same guitar for the xbox version.

Maybe with the use of the Windows Xbox receiver, it will allow you to use the 360 guitar on PC

with the xbox controller/receiver thing you ought to be able to connect the guitar hero guitar

Either get the Xbox guitar hero 2 controller, it's wired and works on pc no problem (and should have been bundled with GH3 on pc), or any other xbox guitar and the windows adaptor.

It works perfectly on pc by using the usb port.

From what I've read the PS3 version of the guitar hero world tour controller works on pc too, without needing to buy a seperate usb adapter, like the Xbox version, because the PS3's guitar comes with a wireless adapter for the guitar.

the wired guitar for the xbox uses usb as standard

I bought the original GH3 for PC which comes with a standard wired USB Xbox guitar. I've used it with an XBox and borrowed a second controller.

The ONLY issue is if you get a wirelessly Xbox receiver for PC, you can't use a wireless and wired guitar at the same time. i.e. My brother got a wireless guitar with his copy and it has some compatibility issues.
