Guitar Hero gets official release date

Pre-ordered through BTGames.

Oh... my... gawds... I'm far too excited about this.

My entire pathetic existence has been focussed down to this game. :p

Do you have some weird program that looks out for the words Guitar Hero? I only just posted that and along you come...

I sent an email to BT Games asking if it will be a day and date release or not. I'll let you know if they get back to me....
 
Gavin, according to the BT Games site, the release date is 30 March... I'm assuming this will be changed to 3 April now, but I'm hoping that GH2 is up for a simultaneous worldwide release date.

Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero 2 were only some of the best games ever released on the PS2, and now 360.

Seriosuly though, if you look at meta-ratings for GH on PS2, it's right up there with the best titles in the history of the console.

You do get a guitar with the game.

You also get a license to rock.

???? Man check the link at the top, look at the size of the box. Of course you get a guitar with the game :eek:

[edit] Damn I am never going to beat BC with any replies about Guitar Hero :D
 
BC Shannon from BT Games just confirmed they will have stock on the 3rd, whic you most probably knew but now everyone knows :D
 
i wonder if i could use this game as an excuse for my wife to get it... for the 7 month old baby to play it of course! :p
 
Does GH support 2 players ? How will buying a secondary guitar work ? Will it be cheaper or will you have to buy another copy of GH ?

I primarily want to get this game for parties/friends.
 
It does support 2 players. At the time of launch, I'm pretty certain that 3rd party controllers won't be available. Also, Redoctane won't have separate controllers available at time of launch (AFAIK). The best bet is to buy 2 copies of GH2 IMO.
 
UPDATE: It is only being released in the UK on the 6th of April.... I would presume that means it only gets released here on the 6th as well unfortunately...

So much for official release dates :o
