Guitar Hero hardware

Can the guitar/drums/mic be used on multiple platforms ? So can I (for example) buy a guitar for PS3 but use it on PS2 / PC as well ? If not, are there perhaps converters that will allow this ?

i think theres a converter from ps2 to ps3 but generally i dont think the controllers are interchangable. Def not from xbox to ps3 but u may have some luck with the xbox wired intruments (usb) and connecting to a PC.
