Hi there,

Would anyone be able to help with the re-spray of an electric guitar body. I either need to get n small compressor or borrow one or go to a place which offers affordable airbrush/spray services in Johannesburg.

Thank you in advance.

If you can get a compressor that is first prize. I resprayed my first electric guitar many years back. I just sanded it and used spray paint. It actually came out incredibly well considering it was spray paint.

You can actually use spray cans.

The thing that most people don't realise about spray jobs (be it a car, guitar, bike, PC etc) is that the prep work & finishing work is 90% of the job. A real good spray job requires elbow grease!

On the subject of guitars, but not painting. Anybody know how much it will cost to have somebody tune a box guitar?

What's wrong with it?
(I'm assuming something is wrong if it can't just simply be... well... tuned.) :)

If you can't tune it by yourself, just get an online tuner of sorts. Then turn the little knobs until the pitch is the same. And don't stress, you will be tuning with harmonics in no time.
