Guptagate soldiers' case watered down

The four officers - Lt-Col Christo Van Zyl, Lt-Col Christine Anderson, Warrant Officer Thabo Ntshisi and Colonel Nomsa Khumalo - will now face only one charge - contravening an Air Force instruction.

The SA National Defence Force Union says the latest move has eliminated the possibility of President Jacob Zuma being called to the stand and now the chief of the Air Force is likely to be summoned as the state's main witness.
