So I havent play Guildwars in ages, got bored of the game after 2 years, but im thinking of playing again. Is it still any fun? Are there lots of locals playing atm?

Fun is subjective. Whatever you classify as 'fun' is not always 'fun' for someone else.
I still enjoy GW, i.e. 'fun', but then I am pretty unique it seems, as most people / players I knew have stopped playing or playing less. I do however see lots of PvP players online and they still seem to play as much as ever.

I am also having fun as I am finishing up a title or 10 and doing elite missions.

Our guild is also moving into PvP a bit... So for me there is still lots of fun to be had.

I seemed to have lost interest in GW, and started playing Runes of Magic instead. Will have to see how long it can hold my attention :p

I lost my GW client some time ago, and cant be bothered to download it again. But it was fun to occasionally log in and do some stuff.

I logged in for the first time in AGES and had about 10 x 2 year birthday presents :D I think the main factor I stopped playing was the bots. Ectos used to be between 10k-15k and are now (not sure what they are worth now) common. AN just did not seem to give a damn about the bots and scammers and gold sellers it just became pointless. I am keen for GW2 to come out, I think it would be better if it was subscription based, and they need to cut all the bots out. I like WOW's approach to bots, they take a huge active step to removing all of them.

WOW have:
1) subscription, so creators/admins/GMs must do their job.
2) in-game store.

Yip that is true, it is one reason why I like sub-based games. James would be happy if GW2 followed closely to GW in dynamic and graphics but picked up a persistent world, possibly subs to better police the servers and please.... add a damn auction house!
