GYM pricing

Hi

I have noticed that the price for gym at either of the two big franchises is crazy unless you on some kind of discount benefit scheme
I was just wondering if there are perhaps specials at the various gyms run from time to time or can a price be negotiated

If not beside discovery and perhaps momentum are there any other affiliations that offer good discounts on gym fee?
 
What are the prices at virgin for normal membership? I would like to join the gym.
 
It is k@k... I basically changed my medical aid so that I could get a better deal on my gym.

Before I used my Edgards club membership to get cheap gym membership, that was at Planet fitness but I don't think that they offer it anymore.
 
I know the Zone Fitness in Brackenfell, CPT had a good deal, like R99 a month, for 24 months.

So perhaps the smaller and/or newer gyms have good deals.
 
yep gym fee's are pretty steep, and i can't change medical aid or i lose company contribution so can't try score that route.
 
Do they even let you sign up month to month? Last I checked they pretty much forced you into a 3yr contract if you wanted to join at all...

i asked and they do, obviously at a higher price, was around 3 months back so unless it has changed

Month to month for one gym, but I guess it must've gone up.

In any case, total rip off. Rather go play football on Sunday with friends. You'll have more fun too :)
