Hacking the Gautrain API to use iOS Siri Shortcuts

When Apple released iOS 12 in September, it replaced the Workflows app with a new feature called Siri Shortcuts.

Siri Shortcuts is billed as a way to let iPhone users quickly perform everyday tasks by asking Siri.

Not sure how much I'm allowed to say, but I think I can at least say that he does both.

Yes and no.. what generally happens is people make apps to (ab)use it and it causes unplanned strain (which costs them in processing or volume) which leads them investigating and then closing it via change.

PokémonGo (way way more popular haha) is a very good example of this and bots causing strain.

There is this app I use (paid for) which seems to “know” where Gautrain busses are in realtime which I’ve always suspected reverse engineered it.. but yea it comes down to risk. If Gautrain finds you complicit, claims you caused undue strain on services amounting to Rx.y value of damages what you gonna?

because they’d technically have a case albeit they left the back door open.. and it takes a slight screw up + an automated service and there is more volume.. imagine someone polled it regularly and then it multiplied. Dumb yes but people do dumb things.
