1 Year. I have put up with enough crap for 1 year. "In the beginning" I decided to get ADSL because of the "512" speed. What utter nonsense.

The reason i decided to get ADSL is because of speed. I wanted to be able to play MMORPG`s on international servers, but hell, to you think Telkom was gonna let me? Hah..
And now they start with this network shaping crud... erg...
I dont use p2p much, and i dont download alot. I didnt get ADSL for downloading, i got it for friggen gaming!

I am cancelling ADSL tomorrow, and geting me the old reliable dual ISDN.
Thats should work a little better with the games. (and be alooooottt cheaper)

Tell me about it. I emailed every single person at telkom cause i had pretty much enuff of this. I mean, try playing a game like Conquer online with an average ping of 1800-2400... its insane. It also disconnects every 5 minutes. Erg, i thought my 56k modem was bad :/

Is there no way to speed up the games?? geeezzzz...

Most of the time you need an unshaped account or nukecap (www.nukecap.co.za) or something like that to play international games.

Aaah oki, will have a look. Unshaped looks a little bit pricey for me :/. but who knows what the future could hold. Might have to steal someone`s car to afford it ;P

That fee + R414 for telkoms crappy Home 512 DLS connection.
Works out about R1045... That a sheiittt load of money for internet!
Unless i "downgrade" to a home 384 connection for R359 a month.

Im out to play games on international servers, so any suggestions is welcome

How about sticking with the 30GB unshaped accounts and getting one of those free unshaped proxy services from Clipse (NUKECAP) or MrBleep. seems very cool and will deliver the same performance as the 4GB unshaped accounts which cost you a liver and a kidney.

how do i goes about doing that? I am utterly useless when it comes to setting things up . Should i order the 30gb cap from webafrica, and just get proxie from nukecap or mrbleep? or what?
