Australian Darrell Hair was cleared by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday to return as a test and one-day international umpire with immediate effect.
"I can confirm the ICC board has decided to bring him (Hair) back to test and one-day international level," an ICC spokesman said.

"..............I think Malcolm Speed has given a gift to an Australian colleague before he retires from the post of chief executive of the ICC."

Oh no!

So it's not only our administrators that are a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

I suppose we've always know the ICC were not to smart.

I personally think Hair is a good umpire. I don't have problems with this, although he does have issues, but then again the ICC have a couple of aussies in there. Everyone deserves a second chance.
