halal eating in cape town

I guess I'll start with the actual answering of the question. Eastern Food Bazaar in town, Longmarket st IIRC. Lots of variety. Good value. Good vibe. Everything inside is halaal. It is an informal collection of takeaways.

I would stay far away from Easterns, and Food Inn and those type of places, its cheap for a reason.

whats the reason ?

i dont think the owner would use cheaper stuff in eastern bazaar and then use very expensive stuff in his resturants

he would use one supplier in both

Remember the OP wants to host two staff members of a client. With that in mind I do not see how Easterns would leave a good impression especially since the food is not particularly good. You are entertaining your client's staff with cheap food, that should impress.

As for other restaurants the Easterns owner runs, I'm not aware of others in the CBD although I see they have sort of understanding with Nuris, so perhaps he owns that too.

well you said they are cheap ..i assumed you were talking about the food

yeah OP should not take them there at all

its a takeaway and not a resturant

I heard that the owners owns the resturant in waterfront as well

Easterns is such a lottery, sometimes the food is fantastic, sometimes not. I've never been sick off it though and it's cheap as chips.

Eastern is good when you are a broke college student. I remember taking many a drive there for food while we were on a studying buzz.
But its not a good place to take a client for a business dinner.
Too informal, too crowded and noisy
