Preordered it online via Steam and left the PC running overnight and it finished preloading ... it pulled down a 1 and a bit GB file.

The game will be unlocked for play on release day which is 1 of June.

I can't wait :).
 
Yep gonna be awesome, HL always is :) Now I just need to wait till I have enough GB's to dl it. :(

Wonder if there will be any updates tot he source engine?
 
I can't wait either, but I see BTgames have pushed orders back to 6 July. WTF ? I wanna see what happened after the explosion at the citadel at the end of Half-Life 2.

When are they gonna turn the Half-Life series into a movie ? It would be so brilliant.

Something that bugs me is a person who plays Counter-Strike and doesn't know or hasn't played Half-Life. WTF !!! Without Half-Life, THERE WOULD BE NO COUNTER-STRIKE. It's one of the best games ever made and all you do is play Counter-Strike over and over again. It's like driving a car around a circle when you could take it for a drive around the city. It is the foundation !

why should you have player half life in order to play counter strike

its like saying if you didnt play bf 1942 you shouldnt play bf 2

both totally different games

do you think ppl want half life no they buy it for counter strike

again to difference games just sold as one package which is rather nice

I'm talking about the people who have NEVER tried it at all and people who have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what it is.
 
Just hope that if and whoever does decide to make HL into a movie will not muck it up....
Which is the general trend with Games being made into Movies ... :eek:

Yeah Doom sucked.
Tomb Raider 1 was good, 2 sucked
Resident Evil 1/2 was okish
Mario Bros. sucked.
 
Gonna have to see what Uwe does with Dungeon Siege I (later this year) & II and FarCry ....
but ye :eek:
 
Uwe = bad. Have any of you seen Alone in the Dark ? OMG, it was sooo terrible, but I sat through it. It had good intentions, but the acting and way it was put together is something nobody should have to see. Personally I never liked any of the Tomb Raider movies, I felt that they never did the games any justice at all - Jolie was the right actress for the job though. I did enjoy the Resident Evil and Mortal Kombat movies. Doom was somewhere between alright and terrible (Uwe's fault).

Didn't watch Alone in the Dark though. Think I am glad about that. :p
I am really hoping that the Halo movie is going to rock (NO, Uwe is NOT involved!! ;))
Some really big names have been mentioned with it. The guy that directed Hellboy (Del Toro, I think) and Peter Jackson (not for directing though) :D
Got ***** written all over it!! :cool:

I have the misfortune of actually owning the original SiN and the expansion pack when it was released a few years back ... it sucked.
