Halo 2 on PC

So has anyone tried this yet? Want to buy it, but dunno, read a few bad reviews about it... Have too many fond memories of Halo 1 to want to spoil it... Also, head that it only runs on Vista, that true?
 
Yep officially its Vista only, although rumors abound of it being cracked to run on XP tho, I'm too lazy to confirm tho, just google it. I never really liked halo all that much.
 
It'll be easy to crack for XP seeing as it's a DX9 game, Microsoft (the developers in this case) just wanted to make it Vista only for pretty obvious reasons. :(

Not a problem for me though seeing as I have Vista anyway. :D
 
Its exactly the same as its older Xbox counterpart and plays just as well. I am actually enjoying it since I never had time to finish H2 on the Xbox way back. Online you will mostly find international players since very few SA gamers have this game.
 
You'll probably like it if you haven't played any first-rate PC shooters since 2003...

Otherwise, don't bother. It shows its age very badly.
 
Halo to run on XP

Falling Leaf Systems has announced that they will be providing compatibility software that will allow Halo 2, an exclusive Vista title, to run on Windows XP. If you order Halo 2 through their site, you'll get the compatibility libraries FREE when they're released (current estimate is July). Not sure how they plan to make any money... but this seems like a pretty cool thing for folks who'd love to play Halo 2, but can't justify the shift to Vista right now.
