Handset problem - any genius here ?

So I was going to give an old phone to a friend.
However, as soon as I put the battery in, the led for the camera's flash comes on, remains on & the phone will not start up.
I have pulled te battery out & tried a number of times - no change, & will not start.
All buttons are non responsive & screen stays blank (not coming on either.
The entire phone is dead, aside from the led in the camera's flash.
It was perfect last time it was used (about 6 months back).

Oh - it's a 9780

Had 2 of these buggers and on both occasions had the white screen of death.

toss it.

Your Phone is probably liquid damaged.
Have it assessed at a repair centre
