Johannesburg - One man died after being shot in a protest at the Lion Park informal settlement off Johannesburg's Malibongwe Drive on Monday, police said on Tuesday.
"Apparently he was shot when the protesters were throwing stones at the police," said Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini.

3 People lost an eye in Cape Town due to violent protestors and police being attacked however a life was lost in Johannesburg. How will the ANC deal with this or will there be another double standard when it comes to blame. If the DA is responsible for the problems in Hangberg then surely the ANC is responsible for the problems at Lion Park?
At least no lives were lost in Cape Town.
