Pretoria - The prisoner who stabbed Chris Hani’s killers at the Kgosi Mampuru Prison has issued a strong warning to Oscar Pistorius. “Anyone who thinks they can come here and live like a king, will have a hit on their head.”
The “General” of the feared 26s prison gang, Khalil Subjee, said should the Paralympic athlete be convicted and jailed for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, his wealth would not buy him a lavish prison lifestyle – instead he would “be taken out”.
Speaking from a prison call box on Tuesday, Subjee, 47, said: “If he thinks he is going to come here and buy his way to get computers and cellphones and a lavish lifestyle, he must know that will never happen for as long as I am around,” said the man who claims to control all the inland prisons.
Subjee, who has been in and out of prison for the past 33 years, has also warned that after last week’s attack on Clive Derby-Lewis and Janus Walusz, the Waterkloof Two – Christoff Becker and Frikkie du Preez – are next on his hit list.
The pair’s parole was revoked last week after a video of them having a party in prison emerged.
“If those two are given single cells or any other preferential treatment, I will take them out. If I can’t do it, I have already instructed my soldiers to carry out my orders and they will do as I say,” said Subjee.
He said he stabbed Derby-Lewis and Walusz because they had called late president Nelson Mandela a monkey and this angered him.
Derby-Lewis and Walusz are in jail for the murder of SACP secretary general Chris Hani in 1993.
“When Mandela died, we put up pictures of him around the prison because he is a hero to all of us. Those two asked when are we taking down the picture of the monkey. That made me very angry.”
Subjee said that if those with money continued to be given preferential treatment more injuries and even deaths would occur.
And people say we don't need the death penalty...
I know, it's a shame. And to think they actually did originally receive the death penalty, but after the abolition of the death penalty in South Africa, their sentence was commuted to life imprisonment. Oh well, lucky them...

Seriously, so this guy is not even looking to walk the narrow path, he is a criminal to the bone. What use does people like this serve? Just eating our tax money that can be spend on bettering the country...

Are they gang leaders? Have they been IN and OUT of prison? They have served their time...
But yes.. if you kill someone , then it must be your punishment too.

Lucky Robert McBride.
No, they've been OUT and IN prison. They didn't just kill someone, they assassinated Chris Hani (in front of his 15-year-old daughter) with the express aim of derailing the reconciliation and plunging the country into a civil war. This is treason. And Derby-Lewis, as a founding member of the Conservative Party (who felt the National Party was too 'soft'), could be called a gang leader. Yes.
