I thought the good news warranted a new thread.
I managed to get hold of Sharon, a Client Service Supervisor at Tracker. After directing her to the abovementioned thread, she contacted me to say that I could cancel my contract by settling 50% NOT 100% of the outsanding contract amount.
Additionally, they'll offer me 4 months of free tracking if I decide to stay on. So if now factor in the R40 increase to my insurance premiums were I to cancel my vehicle tracking, plus the R1800 or so I need to pay in to Tracker, it comes to a fairly similar amount to what I'll end up paying (less the 4 free months) on the rest of my contract. Guess I'll be keeping it then.
