Mate of mine is on Iburst Wireless. He is redirected to this site when he opens his browser: http://www.iburst.co.za/cap_reached.html. Skype and Email works fine though.

I thought you always have internet once capped, only at a much reduced speed, i.e. 64kbps...?

The policy changed with the new packages, you got 2x the bandwidth, but you get hard capped. To be soft capped, you need to pay an extra R200 - check the website for more details.

only if you on contract, and only if you started the contract before they implemented the "new, better" packages

From what we were told via email from iPoop is that the uncapped would only last for subscribers that joined before the change for 3 months. That 3-month period ended in February. I'm not sure whether they're still allowing throttled access until the end of the contract. From other users' rants it seems not.
