I instaled Linux Ultimate gamers edition:cool: last night and accidentely made my windows partition only 60GB:(. I deleted Linux but now have a 60GB Windows partition and 190GB unpartitioned space. Do you know how I can take that unpartitioned space and add it to the Windows partition?

yeah, there are a number of utilities that you could use. try partition magic 8, or my favourite, acronis disk director suite. the only thing is that you will have to buy the software.

GParted

Many live Linux distros also include this tool, sometimes with the Qt front-end, and therefore called QtParted. The DVD you installed Ubuntu from most likely has this tool since it resized your Windows partition in the first place.

There is always a small element of risk involved in resizing a partition. Why not just allocate the remaining space as another Windows partition? This will give you more options in future.

Control Panel >>> Admin Tools >>> Computer Management >>> Disk Managent >>>

Look for unpartitioned space and create another partition. It is good to have two on one HDD because it makes backup and reinstall of windows easy...

Good advice - move your My Documents folder to the non-windows partition hint rclick on My documents and Move

It not nearly as risky as resizing the partition.

Although resizing the partition is quite safe any hitch(load shedding anyone??) will destroy your data.

i gotta agree as well. i re-install xp and vista soo often and having all my videos, games, music etc on a seperate partition saves me soo many headaches.
