Hard Drive choice

Which HDD are you using in your system? Are you using SSD?
I am using Freeswitch with recording.

For SSD's and memory I only use Crucial.
Never had an issue.

Got a 2TB M.2 SSD that I put into a new gaming laptop, and it's the PNY make. Works like a charm.

For spinning disk, it's Western Digital and has been for 20 years now.

For a VoIP system you don't need an high speed drive.
Throw in a 4TB drive and you will have all the capacity for all the recordings.
If you want a PBX that boots fast then an SSD is the way to go. So maybe do both to have fast boot times and lots of capacity

What did the M.2 cost ?

Bought it off Amazon along with the laptop and extra memory (G.Skills Ripjaw). The M.2 cost $184.
