Hard Drive Clicking

My hard drive just died Any suggestions on how to recover the data.

If it's clicking or making any other audible sounds, the last thing you want to do is run data recovery software. Take it to a data recovery specialist and have them sort it.

Western Digital Caviar 120GB IDE. It's showing up in BIOS but starts clicking as soon as the machine starts up.

Not sure, but I know there have been several threads on here regarding data recovery and there were a few companies around your side of the world, so just do a forum search.
It doesn't come cheap though!

All my data was recovered! The first company didn't have any luck in recovering the data. Took the drive to Tecleo (http://www.tecleo.co.za/) expecting the same results. But they managed to recover all the data.

Now to setup daily backups. What backup strategies/software is everyone using?

+/- R4500. I provided my own drive to copy the data to.

all they could have done was to take your platters and place them into a replica HDD.....eish a few bob worth.
