Hi
I have read somewhere it is not a good idea to have your primary drive bigger than 500GB.Slow performance? What are your opinions?

I need to build a server for a customer and he wants 2 * 1 TB in a mirror running Windows 2003 Server?

The HP ML150 G6 got the P410 controller, can one create two mirrors e.g. 2 * 250 and then 2 * 1TB or will you need a second controller for the second mirror?
Thanks

Just mirror the two disks and make it one big partition. If you follow the BPG from MS and disable the Admin account and keep strict security on the drive you should see no problem. Performance wise you are still reading and writing to the sam physical disks no matter how many partitions you create so no improvement would be gained by creating more partitions.

Yes its good practice to have your OS on a separate raid array to your Data.
It doesn't need to be on a different controller only for bigger configuration say if you had a external unit.
