Hope someone can help with this... so here is the story.
I was running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I decided to update windows to service pack 1. When that was done I used windows updater to update further.
After that was done I installed Hitman Absolution, but at the same time I was watching a tv series while it was installing on the same pc. To check how far it was I tried minimizing media player then my pc froze, tried closing it nothing happened. Then I got a BSOD. After that pc wont boot up at all just got black screen of deaths all the time, put in windows cd and system hangs at the install screen.
Eventually I figured away passed the hanging but could not install as windows could not find cd/dvd drivers. I then tried startup repair and the thing said it will take an hour :wtf: I let it do its thing I then went to sleep got up at 4 am to the sound of my HDD making a weird clicking sound but sstartup repair wnated to restart my pc.
Restarted pc and hdd runs,clicks for a few seconds then dies. BIOS does not pick up hard drive at all but before the startup repair it did!!
So is my hdd dead and no hope of it ever working and why did it die like that!!!
By the way I took out hdd and tried it as an external hdd to see if it powers up. Nothing happens. tried in another pc same thing happens in my pc just clicks and then dies.
Anyways sorry for the long story but I wanted to give a full description of what I did. Hope someone can give me an opinion of what happened or any advice.

500 gb seagate sata3(warranty is finished)
