Hi,
I posted some time ago about my strange hardisk problem... right here.
Today I added a DVD writer to my system and in the process of installing it I shifted my hard-drive one bay up, suddenly I noticed the problem increased drastically... I also noticed that when I was online the problem got really bad...
That's when the inspiration struck me:
I've been connecting via my Siemens ME45 which uses infrared, my pc has an infrared "eye" bang in the front, so I've just been putting my cellphone on a box in front of the "eye" like this
Now as soon as I move the cellphone away the problem stops... put the cellphone in front and the hard-drive goes nuts... (you can literally hear the heads "whacking" around)..
I never realised how much trouble cellphone "radiation" could cause
Now I know why they don't allow cellphones aboard airplanes..
Anyway just thought I'd share this in case anyone else ever notices strange problems of this kind
