You've been chugging along with your 19inch for quite some time now, how are you finding the 24? When i got my 23 it made a massive difference.

The 24 has an extra 120pixels along the top. Its newer and better, and so perhaps worth the extra R100.

It depends what you're looking for.
The 2450 really has a great glossy look to it.
The 2494 has a matte finish, but I really can't be arsed with it as I don't even notice.
When playing games or watching movies, it's not the finish for me, as it's dark anyway
At the end of the day, the 2450 does really seem like a nicer monitor.
I just hope this brings down the 2494's price so that I can pick up one on the 2nd hand market and pair it up with my current one

Lol , that is win 7
Its also got a 2ms response time and 70000:1 contrast ratio . The benifits of these are debatable but it's a great screen and a big upgrade from my old 19"

They come in really handy for some extra boost in sound and also for when wanting to drift off to sleep without disturbing the rest of the house.

Yep it gives the PC 5.1+2 (2493hs) a nice front stage presentation. Very clear voice also audio on Video.
