Got myself 2x 27" LCD on the Incred. Special.

Looks like they had stock and are honoring the prices the originally published.

Picked one up yesterday - I had asked them to phone me when they received stock (I went on on the 2nd day of the special and they were already out). I only got the call on Friday. So I went in and they honored the trade in price (R2699), very very impressed, they are also going to repair my older Samsung 226BW under warranty, it is just about 3 years old. So they have really come to the party :)

I had my name on two lists, both of which has magically disappeared.

I spoke to Cape Gate, Tygervalley and Century City and all of them gave me attitude, won't honor the special price even if your name is on the list and are out of stock again.

Do you mind telling me which branch gave you such good service?

They did the same thing to me with the PS3 special, i hunted down 2 units in Pretoria by phoning around and as soon as it landed in Durban their Springfield branch reserved it for their staff and refused to give it to me. Call the head office and ask them to facilitate the transfer if you find stock and dont trust their system.

Hmm, so phoning the head office actually gets you results? I might just consider doing that...

The branch at Fourways Crossing - they still have 2 in stock, if you are fast, call them and say you have been waiting for stock since the special started, the manager will authorise it.

Edit: I see the other branches u checked, you might have trouble getting it down to you :P

I managed to sort out my problem with the regional office and they helped me out.

Now a happy owner of my own shiny new P2770 :D

Dunno if anybody still needs this info, but Cavendish Unbearable had stock of the 27" on Monday. They said they'd just received a bunch of new stock, in fact.

Okay, Did a speed test using USBdeview and got the following results:
Write Speed: 3.19MB/Sec
Read Speed: 25.30 MB/Sec

BUT with My older Verbatim Store & Go (8GB) I get the following:
Write Speed: 8.94MB/Sec
Read Speed: 24.94 MB/Sec
