Anyone know where I can get the Samsung T260 at a reasonable price

Remember the R695 is excluding VAT. It's R792 incl VAT which is cheap but believable as the going rate is about R900 for these. They seem kosher, they email me every week with these offers.

I did not do extensive searching for other prices but the cheapest I could get it somewhere else was R1050 + Delivery.
And although I will not use it, the mouse is an added bonus.
Registered last night and ordered one. Will see how goes.

I just got a bargain from Makro, 640GB external hard drive. thought it was usb powered but it aint. Normal price R1499. Bargain price till yesterday 2pm, R899.

was it a good deal or not? the packaging said nothing about it being powered by its own power supply. Its a Fujitsu Siemens.

3.5" drives usually come with external power supplies, the 2.5" drives are usb powered.

so i should have been more informed personally i.e.

so was it a bargain or not?

Looks like they don't want my business.
1. They do charge delivery. R200 excl. Even to Kempton. So looks like free delivery only applies for a 5km radius.

2. They don't have stock. It "might" arrive this afternoon.

3.1 When asked if they can notify me when stock will arrive they answer: Stock must first be marked, checked and added to warehouse stock. Fair enough.

3.2 Then back orders will be filled with the stock that "might" be arriving.

Only then will they be able to check if they have one for me. But I can order and even if I don't get it by the time the promo ends(22 May), they will still keep it on back order for me and give it to me at the same price. Also fair enough but that could be next year by the look of things.

This sounds too much like Incredible Connection where they advertise great deals but when you arrive the morning the promo starts, all of the specials are sold out already.
