If you're looking for great prices in GP check out www.pcint.co.za

500GB 16MB cache SATA Seagate HDD R528 excl
Samsung 23" wide TFT (2333sw) Monitor R1 799 excl
2GB DDR II 800 R225 excl
Core 2 Quad Q8200 (2.33GHz) R 1 479 excl
Geforce 9400GT 1GB DDR II 550MHz R 552

Please do not qoute prices excluding vat

Companies do it cos essentially the excl vat price is the cost to company.

The vat is passed on to the final paying person/company and therefore the company essentially does not factor that price component. VAT registered companies just act as tax collectors for SARS when dealing with a final customer / client.

Those monitor prices are having me pull my hair out!
That's inclusive right?
Those guys should really look into shipping...

Correct, all inclusive.
If I were in charge I would definitely expand out of KZN too...

They do sometimes allow for you send a courier to collect for you. You'd need to speak to them though to confirm

I am not sure they could handle the service aspects of online shopping, tbh.

Plus they clearly don't favour credit card transactions, those prices quoted are for cold hard cash, literally. They whack on 10%, yes 10% if you whip out the plastic.

In-store service is lacking at the best of times, so who knows...

All that said if you want stuff at a good price and have no expectations of service then it's great.

Bit off topic but.

Is there online stores that sells mainly electronic goods?
Not computer hardware? Specifically looking for stuff like TV's, DVD Recorders etc.
Something like an online New World store or Sound & Image.

Kalahari?

Kalahari?

They only sell limited stuff.
At the moment I am specifically looking for DVD Recorders with HDD's.

In the near future I will be looking at also getting a Sony Bravia or something similar and after that a new Home Theater system.

So I was basically looking for an online store where I can compare prices and see different makes/models and also compare the prices with those of retail stores.

BUT... If any of you guys know of a good deal on a HDD/DVD Recorder please link it here. 160GB will be sufficient.
