Hey hey, lets not be hating:D

:p

I just had to get my name on one of the cheapest 4870s I have seen to date (excl the nice offer digitalsaonline had). I have till the 5th of August to make up my mind in any case. When I see it cheaper anywhere else before then, Prophecy Return Policy FTW!

Lol ... well my price actually went up :P ... but thats because I didn't have enough orders this time for a bulk order ... but I still kept the prices the same ... although I can't compete with prophecies price on that brand ... unless I want to lose money :P

What pisses me off is this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Description=4870&x=0&y=0

All those 4870s goes for $310 effectively - From HIS to Sapphire to Gigabyte
Why ain't it the same here?!?!

And I am a bit fond of the Sapphire you see :o but you do not have the 4870 yet - don't know if anyone has it in SA even. Ah, Sybaritic R4137

Need to check with the Sapphire supplier ... IMO 4xxx is too much to pay considering they are reference boards. I had the 4850 Sapphire at 3k ... this supplier is a bit nuts for this pricing, but I suppose its not their fault :p

Maybe not their fault, but it ain't mine or yours either. The day I get my hands on the person that causes this ... :inflicting-pain:

I wonder what Sapphire would tell me if I (won the lotto and) asked about becoming a distributor in (S)Africa?

The Sapphire 4800's are more expensive because the local dealer price is so high.
The dealer price for a Sapphire Radeon 4870 is R4760 incl. Which is R500 more than online retail for any other brand. The same goes for the Sapphire 4850’s.
The sad thing is that some dealers still have stock of the ATI 3800 and Nvidia 9800/260/280GTX series at ridiculous prices. Nobody who has done their homework will buy any of these high priced products if they can get a better performing product for less.
I want a Sapphire 790FX motherboard but can’t find someone who distributes them locally.
Does anyone know where I can find this motherboard? (Sapphire PC-AM2RD790)

o well guess its R500-600 then for 2x 1gi's, that be cheaper anyways than getting a whole now mobo for now in the short run while loot are being gathered for upgrade later on :D

Nah ... I don't ... I know DA isn't big yet ... but its growing ... slowly but surely :P
