Kalahari guys are prolly following this thread. maybe they knew you guys would go crazy and decided to just pull your leg...sneaky b@stards!

Yeah.. thats what gets me the most.. 2 days to notice...... its a bit worrying..

On another note.. my 2x1Tb drives is "ready to pack"... so should be getting them soon.. *heppiness*

Just to ask, did they actually charge you? And then later just reverse the charge? If they charged you then the transaction is completed and they owe you whatever you bought for whatever price you bought it at. If however it was an "order" and they only confirm later, but never charged then you probably do not have a claim. Just my 2c :D

It was just an order to be confirmed. And their terms and conditions are very clear on the matter :(

Also got an email from Nadine xxxx (who can't spell ie "Jewelry") cancelling the order - which I might add was just one of each watches.

Generally, I think Kalahari should work on their customer communications.

Anyway, let's back to the regular programming.

Got a reply from Kalahari:

Good day Xyz

Thank you for getting back to us.

The glitch occurred over the weekend and since we do not work over weekends, it was only discovered yesterday morning and steps taken to rectify it immediately.

There is, however, a clause in our terms and conditions under "Agreements of Sale" where we state the following:

"Kalahari shall take all reasonable efforts to maintain correct prices. However, should errors occur and items are offered at incorrect prices, Kalahari.net will not be obliged to sell goods at such incorrect prices and shall only be liable to refund monies paid."

We did ask that you contact us if you would still like to order this particular item, so that we can organise a special price for you.

Once again, please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Regards
Nadine

My response:

Good day

Please note that I am aware of your Ts & Cs of sale. You should also note that the majority of people who ordered the stock were induced to do so by the price. So, in effect, by offering a special price (which in reality would be nowhere near the advertised price), Kalahari is offering basically zero benefit to the people who ordered these items, because they would not have ordered these items in the first place.

Thank you for clarifying your position on the matter.

Kind regards

I thought Kalahari was big enough to work over weekends...

I still haven't been refunded. The payment is not reflecting on their side. :(

Got another reply:

Dear Xyz,

Thanks so much for sending us your email as well as the thread to the MyBroadband forum, which I have read. It seems we weren’t the only ones who were surprised by such a low price J

I would like to humbly apologise for the error that was caused. The decision has been to offer a special discount to customers who would still like the incorrectly priced item(s), rather than give out vouchers, especially as the deal was so unbelievable!

Please feel free to contact me if you have any queries.

Regards,

Yeah, I doubt it:p.

The original prices are far as I can recall were 1k for the sunglasses, 1.5k and 1.9k for the watches. So even at 50% discount, 10 of each comes to 22k:eek:.

I think i'll pass. Cos I paid with EFT I have had to submit a credit return form - more mission than I had hoped. :(

I did mine by credit card (FNB), and like someone else mentioned on here, it went out and was reversed almost immediately thereafter.

I haven't checked mine if they reversed it but I also used FNB CC, but when I ordered it went through straight away and didn't reverse immediately.
