Hardware Bargains

Do some planning ahead and only rip the ones today that you want to watch tomorrow. With 1000 titles, there sure as heck are a whole bunch you're never going to get around to again. One a night is nearly three years of watching. You don't need them all.

And that's exactly what I need it for. To store movies. Although ripping 1000+ movies to 700mb DivX is't going to be fun :(

any bright ideas from the peoplez?

Don't mean to be rude, but I really don't think 1000 movies have been made that are worth all that effort. Not by Hollywood anyway. Maybe 100. At a push.
I guess what I'm saying is, maybe you should just rip the good ones. The others probably aren't worth watching again anyway.

WHat does ripping movies have to do with bargains. Will the ****'s please stop posting their own discussions here and stick to posting HARDWARE BARGAINS. Thanks

I'm still seeing it as zero.

It showed a price earlier, but is back to R0 now. Good luck getting it that that price though - sybaritic got a process in place that double checks prices. R0.00 products never pass that check.

Are they on DVD's or what?

Yes they are.

You don't need them all.

Good point

Haha, I managed to get a free Graphics Card from them about two years ago. I was looking through the prices and found that it was R0, so being curious, I added it to my cart along with one or two (non-free) items and checked out.
Lo and behold, 4 days later I got my two items and a graphics card. The next day the price went up to R1450.
I was very surprised that they sent it, I was not expecting it to get past the first step as I thought they would've spotted it.
Oh well, lucky me :)

Yeah, the key is to NOT ask them if the price is wrong. I also got lucky like that once, but it wasn't on a pc online store - it was a sugar free products online store. I saw some big packets of choc chip biscuits going for R0.00, so I added 2 of the bags to my cart. I didn't want to draw attention to myself, so I didn't add more. A few days later I got the biscuits. Those choc chip biscuits tasted awesome!

Anyway, I bought a 500GB Samsung external 2.5" HDD at Makro a few days ago for R699. I'm not sure if that's a good price or not, but I'm posting it anyway.

I got the same from Game this weekend for R599. Ridiculous prices! But who's complaining!

I am. :p

Esquire got the Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST32000542AS internal for R831.06 incl. But I usually go for the internals although the external case thingies ain't that $$$ these days...

Hey look, I can advertise for free!!! Let us spam them!

So you are basically warning people NOT to use you, as Makro and game are only R11 more for an EXTERNAL?

Gee, companies are getting friendlier by the day! Thanks for giving us the heads up to avoid you!

EDIT: Removed the quoted text (and replaced with what you were thinking) to not further give you advertising.

Just had a look at your website and your cheapest product to compare with the R599 Game and Makro 500GB 2.5 portable HDD is costing R751.15

You are a bad spammer! Rather add your 2c when you are cheaper than the price being mentioned. Not R150 more. By the way, what is your exchange policy? Can I go withing 7 days back to you to return a product if I am not happy? For what period will you immediately replace my faulty product that I am not happy with? The same as Game and Makro? Thought not.

We appreciate your spam if it is relevant and it is really cheap. Now I have actually discovered that you are NOT cheap and NOT ethical, thus I will most likely NOT do business with you. Good bye.

So... I got the same thing from Esquire for R454.86... including VAT. There are a couple of special deals on facepalms around at the moment... I think you need to stock up and a few... you are certainly going to use them!

RAS

P.S. Sucky website, looks like a back yard son of mom-and-pop operation. Eeeeeeeugh.

Esquire don't sell to the general public, they're dealers/wholesalers so you can't compare their pricing with retail.
