I've yet to see any powerline adapter (TP-link, D-link, Netgear) reach anywhere near the kind of throughput speeds they claim to be able to achieve. If you can prove me wrong them please feel free to post a screenshot showing the connection speed between your adapters.

720p or 1080p? Can you actually stream 1080p content while the dishwasher or washing machine is running?

I can't do cat 5 because i live in an apartment with slab ceiling and chasing into the wall would mean repainting the entire house.

I'm using the tplink ones as well and it works great. Streaming HD no problem.

I bought a few for the Lenovo T430 from ebay (located in China or Hong Kong or something) on 9 December. Still haven't arrived. I don't know if it's viable to keep stock here, because retailers would probably stick a 200% markup on it, but it would be nice to buy locally.

Dude that's a bit misleading don't you think? I can't come on here and claim i paid R0 for a DSTV HD decoder and dish installation just because I had R699 worth of vouchers, now can I?

Well price listed is R2500 incl vat @ Kalahari. Still a bargin since peeps like esquire and other suppliers could not match it. Think there prices were over 3k.
