Hi Everyone, this whole matter has been blown out of proportion. What simply happened here, is that our system showed stock and there is no physical stock. The system is in the process of being updated, hence you also see the SSL notification. We have offered a full refund to anybody that has made a purchase from us. Apologies for any inconvenience experienced.
First Shop, the issue is that this happens all too often with you guys; I've yet to have an order that has been finalised and delivered, as conveniently there is never available stock of anything ordered, or the price was an error, etc. You then proceed to offer me something totally different...not even close to what I'm looking for.
Therefore I rather pay a bit extra and get what I'm actually wanting from elsewhere.

No, not by a long shot. But fair's fair: if the TV thing couldn't be discussed here ad nauseam, neither should this.

What simply happened is you guys are still as useless as you were 3yrs ago.

Leave the stone age behind and embrace 2015, there are ways of managing stock so this doesn't happen. You can have bricks in your head and still appreciate that if your online web store doesn't have near realtime stock updates you will have situations like this occurring all the time. And lots of irate customers who will speak poorly of Firstshop and never want to shop with you again.

Use it, don't use it.

My 1st and definitely last attempt to buy from First Shop !!!

I ordered - but luckily the payment did not go through.

When I called to inquire I was also told NO STOCK.

I, too, have had my first (failed) and last purchase from this ass backwards online "store".

No all the hate because of the crap service, they tell you one thing, two minutes later and their story changes. There has been quite a few pricing errors on their site and as a customer it's extremely frustrating to deal with.

The issue isnt limited to their online store reps, dealing with their corporate sales AM's is like pulling teeth.

Clueless and condescending yet still need a pat on the back even when they cock up.

I have heard alot from these guys, but on requesting some pricing/info from them via email, I have yet to receive a response 2 weeks later. However, their online promotions look very promising.

+1. Popped them a mail late Friday afternoon, got a response almost immediately. Placed my order & made payment thereafter and will (hopefully) receive it tomorrow.

Have made 7 separate purchases this year alone, of which I only had one issue (faulty hardware, which you can't blame them for) and they resolved it without major hassle.
 
Game has a sale on tomorrow. a tablet going for R700. not the greatest of makes (proline) but still has decent specs.
