I bought something from them a few months ago.

Had to pay for a tracking number, which they didn't send to me.

Contacting them was a pain in the arse since the only place I could find a support email was on their PayPal receipt.

Their reply was on some web form that self-destructs after a day.

When I did get the tracking number, it was some odd swedish post order number, which has to be input into some hidden swedish post website to get a working tracking number.

The goods never arrived, and tracking just stopped.

Getting a refund was (you guessed it) a pain in the arse - they're really difficult to deal with, taking about 6 emails for them to offer me a partial refund.

Eventually, after opening a PayPal dispute, I got my money back.

I will not deal with gearbest again.

I dealt with gearbest a few times, plus have a delivery on its way and had no issues.

I had a similar experience but the post office has sped up intl parcels significantly recently so I did a R400 order with them last week, it's a well put together site, nice stuff, good prices and they generally have a very good reputation. Whatever happens you won't lose your money, just use PayPal.

I have no problem using the post office - I've just received a multimeter from Singapore, and have a book on route from Scotland at the moment. I don't blame the SA post office, (although I'm not exactly impressed with the swedish post office). I have no problem buying from strangers using PayPal, either.

What gets to me is the run-around they gave me, and wasting 2 months waiting for something, only to have to order it again, and wait another 2 months.

Just bought from them twice in the last 2 weeks. First item is in customs here (shipped from NL) and I cancelled the second shipment yesterday as it had a long lead time, and my refund was processed immediately. Can't complain.

Decent tab for the price. Paid 1200 for mine a year ago or two

Gooi Windows 10 if you do buy it. Much better at touch screen than Win8

Is it suitable for an elderly person to use? They tried android and didn't succeed.

This is actually a very good price, not sure if people realize this, but the tablet comes with a Office 365 Licence, this licence alone cost R900.
Bought one.

Does that give you one year of office?
