I don't need a NAS anymore, I will install XPEnology sometime this weekend.
The pro is that I can install SABNZBD and Sonarr on it as well.

Anyone know if this drive can be used as an external storage on PC?

Its updated in my cart now BUT, my dad's CC is reserved for other payments so can't buy 3x and says minimum order is 3x. This may apply in-store [since you can only buy in-store].

If anyone wants to help me get just 1x drive , should they honour ordering it online, PM me so you can put the money into a Standard Bank account in the next few mins. Will choose Pickup so DBN guys only :/. Same price as advertised unless someone is feeling generous

States now online hdd is out of stock.

Suspect they realised its a big discount. R400 per Tb. Most 1Tb drives going for R800.

I added it the moment i saw the post here to see how many was in stock based on cart quantity lol. It said 21 and if i added more, it said max allowed i think.

In anycase, they had my order listed at the Gateway store but didn't keep any. No worries but good for those who got it . I've always got Amazon US/UK to fallback on for the drives. The 4TB goes for R2k delivered when not on special . Issue is always funds <> special discounts being available.

So take note, IC if you choose in-store payment, they may still get rid of your order without followup :crylaugh:.
