Not too bad for the price. Got a 7" tablet over a year ago with 512mb ram, that's unbearable.

Yep. Got a 512mb gearbest tablet a few years ago for a steal... it is usable, but just unbearably slow now.

Run,...with 8gb it'll have constant issues with low space even if you add an SD card.

This is what bothers me. Although kingoroot managed to root my gearbest tablet and then this became a non-issue.

There are a few contenders on takealot, but then the price climbs to R1000+...

I have the Dell and the only thing I wish could be better is response rate for gaming. 8ms is good enough but my previous Samsung with a 2ms was noticeably faster. I see the Samsung from IC is a 4ms.
