How lovely it is true what someone else mentioned that the system won't allow them to change the product!. Guess what they have changed the product on the cancellation page / order history.

You're right, it has changed to that. I have also received a credit for the 1 switch.

Will give it some time to see what they actually deliver and the correct switch must reflect on the return an item page. If it doesn't then it means it has no warranty o.O

Yip - mine has changed as well. If they send me that instead of the switch I will refuse to sign and pay. Making a mental note to open the parcel and check when Mr D arrives.

EDIT: Sorry for them, the order confirmation email shows a pic of the correct switch

Yup ... here too... my account has been accessed and my order that was paid for has been amended and substituted with another item.

No notification of this item switcharoo either... just sommer so ingegaan en verander.

Aaand I am told that no, it is not possible, they cannot do what they have just done.
 
Just looked at my order history, I don't want another bloody 4 port router! What would have happened if you guys hadn't told me and I had gone to pick it up only to find it's 12 ports short??
So now do I just cancel?

Trust me they won't send you the product you ordered unless you do a scandal and complain on hellopeter! Someone else had the same thing happen to him whereby they substituted it for another product/similar, doubt the company would take a knock of R1 million.... If you want to pursue it further send them screen shots!
 
If they send me the 4 port I will not accept or pay because that is fraud as my order email is proof that I bought the bigger switch. If they have the decency to phone me and apologise I would tell them to cancel it and I understand. But if they try and get out of this by sending the 4 port they will get a "return to sender" parcel back as that is kalahari tactics.

Yeah they should have the decency to phone you and apologise for the cock up! I will tell you what they going to do after 30 days they will tell you the supply doesn't have the listed item available and you welcome to cancel
 
For those interested:

I saw HP Gloss Paper on clearance at Incredible Connection reduced from R299 to R240 due to damaged and open packaging. I went to speak to the manager and said that I was concerned that some sheets of paper might be damaged due to the package having been open for so long, and asked her if she would give it to me for R200. Without question, the manager gave the paper to me at half the original price. (R150)

I suspect that they would be willing to do the same for other clearance stock if anyone wanted to try their luck.
