Nope, they aren't jailbroken yet, and probably never will be.

It's a pain to convert everything to mp4, no support for external drive, I was tempted but my DroidTV does xbmc, mirroring and streams anything.

My personal opinion is don't waste your time with cheap tablets. The minute its slightly sluggish you won't enjoy it. Plus they tend to have terrible screen resolutions. Get a nexus 7 2012 they go for R2k now 32gb with 3g. You won't regret it.

I had it a few years ago for a small PC, actually got it cheaper than that. That's the normal selling price elsewhere (http://rebeltech.co.za/180-keyboards#/manufacturer-zalman) Although Kalahari includes free delivery. If you want something on a budget, it's okay. But, it's not something you're going to sit with for a few years. The backlight isn't that bright as well.
