Got one from Boardmans 18 months or so ago. The bottom discoloured after a few months and the auto off switch failed a few months ago.

Not recommended imo.

Edit: got the red one. Oh and iirc the top metal started rusting (or discolouring) on the edge.

There's a fast start option somewhere in Windows 8 and probably in Windows 10 as well. It also stopped my USB ports from working. I disabled fast start and everything was back to normal.

It's got a 2 year warranty IIRC. Unless that's their toaster I am thinking of...
 
All mellerware products have a 2 year warranty. The inconvenience of returning the kettle everytime doesn't make it worth it.

Crap... I have one of these which I'm keeping as a spare, also the red one. Bought from Kalahari for R199 about 9 months ago, and still haven't used it. The warranty gave me a false impression that this was a quality product.

No issues with mine. About a year old...still on warranty

Same here have the Blue one and have had no issues with it. Between my wife and helper they clean it regularly - ensuring that the bottom does not dis-colour.

I've also had a Panini Press from them, which I love to bits - I had it repaired once under warranty right at the end of it's 2 year conclusion and it has continued to impress with it's wonderful grilled cheese.

As with most things, it's a matter of personal experience.
