I was looking at the amazon reviews and WD forum compliants. I see a lot of complaints about the drive failing which makes me nervous. Im sure most of them are good and these are probably the minority of customers. I suggest that you register your drive incase anything happensAre these the dodgy drives?
I bought 2 from that guy, winner price, both have been fine up till this point.
How do you register it and how long is the warranty?I was looking at the amazon reviews and WD forum compliants. I see a lot of complaints about the drive failing which makes me nervous. Is there anything in a similar form factor on Takealot but under R200 to this :
Sandisk Cruzer Fit Usb 3.0 32GB R335
http://www.takealot.com/sandisk-cruzer-fit-usb-3-0-32gb/PLID38528916
Its like a flash drive barely larger than the portion that plugs into the port, really nice you can leave them plugged in laptops etc and they won't get broken off or damaged. I tried looking but Takealot's search is useless.

They R200 from Ebay (but then might get nailed with customs).
I went to collect it after it was delivered from Nelspruit (apparently there was no stock in the Western Cape). I'm normally skeptical when it comes to cheap electronic devices but damn this thing doesn't disappoint at all. It has 1gb ram but runs smoothly more testing is required though. It's running Windows 8.1 but will see if I can upgrade it to Windows 10. Plus I only paid R1140 including the Bluetooth keyboard cover(R240 at takealot +R100 voucher), whereas takealot was selling the combo for R2500(https://m.takealot.com/#product?id=PLID38528372). All in all I'm impressed.Dammit that is tempting. Should be able to upgrade to Win10.
