I've been looking for a work/personal camera for a little while now and came across this deal at Makro. I'll be using ebucks vouchers at 40% discount to purchase the camera.

What do you guys think? Is it a good deal? Or is there a better deal that I may have missed? I'm a complete noob when it comes to cameras.

The Canon is the baby model. I suggest you buy the 700D also at Makro for R6999. Much better deal!

Thanks ernestank. Saw the 700D but was out of my budget. I think the baby model is a handful for me already.

Anyways I went ahead and bought it today. New toy Woohoo! Also got me 40% discount by buying ebucks vouchers! And didn't have to pay cash! Triple whammy! all in all I paid a smidgen over 27000 ebucks. Which I'm really chuffed about.

Now to go on the course (included in the package!) and figure out how to use it. Thanks for the assist guys.
