Anybody have experience with this:

Or an alternate recommendation?

Looking for a 28inch tv to fit a spot in my kitchen .. currently a sinotec there that I hate .. takes forever to change channel and sound went a while back

OneDayOnly has some cheap Telefunken TVs if that's of any interest ...

So in short.

For the average Joe like me with an old 4th gen i5 basic PC... it doesnt matter.

I'll wait for Praeses to provide feedback.

I've been quite impressed by my new system's performance so far (2700X, Asus Prime x470-Pro) - extremely snappy.

Did a quick benchmark on that Mushkin drive for you:

Quite impressive for such a cheap drive!

The best online price I could find is at geewiz. They have R49 delivery

Google Home - R2185
Google Home Mini - R1008

edit:

Gadgetshop has the mini for R999 - free delivery
Did AGS from Google in US. Pre special it came to R650. Still don't know about customs coz AGS suck.

It's now 60 usd to for two.

Ps: I'd be willing to go halfsies on another two pack if anyone is interested.

Thanks, this is great.

Bought the mini for about R750 on eBay and it works very well in a bedroom.

Minor complaint is that you sometimes have to shout for it to hear you in a room where the TV is loud / music playing / 3+ meters away etc.

In an open plan room it becomes worse, have to shout even when there isn't much noise and 2+ meters away.

Will rather get this from game

Thanks mate, just pulled the trigger for 2 of these. Total came to 63 usd with taxes incl from Google Store.

Shipping is free to US address. Then R350 with AGS. I assume vat and handling after. But again ags has been terrible so can't say for sure.

$172 or about R2100 for Philips hue 4 pack colour light starter pack plus 2 Google home minis

Even with shipping and customs it looks like a good deal

We have one of those and it takes ages to switch on, change channel or change source. Is it the same for the jvc?
No idea about jvc, but these have 5 year warranty. Is this just your one or all of them? Have you tried to take it back?
Is volume also slow?

No, we actually have a 32 inch and a 28 inch and they are just slow for those two. Sound etc is responsive enough just the changing of channels.
Picture quality is good for what you're paying but it's a pain to use.

That's really not bad! Here is a 250GB Samsung 850 Evo for comparison running on a Ryzen 3 2200G, X370-PRO
